FAQ
Vor dem Gebrauch des coody Zelts
Vorbereitung und Aufbau
- Always set up the tent on elevated ground, away from trees with heavy snow loads or open fire sources.
- Make sure there is adequate distance from water sources and rivers.
- Avoid setting up on slopes or uneven terrain.
Betriebstemperatur
- Suitable for outdoor use in the temperature range from –15 °C to +40 °C.
- PVC becomes less flexible at low temperatures – handle with care.
- At high temperatures, keep the tent well ventilated.
Heizung und Isolierung
- A roof outlet for a wood stove is available. Only use stoves with spark protection. Secure electrical cables safely.
- Never leave a stove unattended inside the tent.
Luftdruck und Gestänge
- In frosty temperatures, air pressure drops – check regularly and reinflate if necessary.
- Use only the recommended PSI values.
Kondensation und Feuchtigkeit
- Condensation is normal and comparable to fogged windows. The higher the waterproofness of the material, the less breathable it is, which can increase condensation.
- Good ventilation is the best way to reduce condensation.
Schutz vor Regen und Schnee
- The tent withstands moderate rain for about 4-5 hours. For light or occasional rain, the rain tarp is not necessary.
- For heavy, prolonged rain we recommend using the included rain tarp.
Falten und Lagerung
- Cold makes PVC and fabric stiff, making folding more difficult.
- Fully dry the tent before storage to prevent mold.
Pflege und Wartung
- Do not wear boots or shoes inside the tent.
- Keep sharp or pointed objects away from walls and floor.
- Regularly check for and remove stones or branches under the tent.
Brandschutzmaßnahmen
- Use electrical devices carefully and properly.
- Always keep the entrance clear so the emergency exit remains accessible.
- A fire extinguisher within reach can make all the difference in an emergency.
- Ensure adequate ventilation when cooking in or near the tent.
- Never leave open flames (candles, gas lamps) unattended.
- Only use heaters at a sufficient distance from tent walls and materials.
- Never leave children unattended in the tent – especially near heating or cooking appliances.
- Regularly inspect the tent for damage, especially at seams and zippers.
- In case of storms or extreme weather, evacuate the tent if necessary.
